One of the most important differences is Automatic Collision Evasion.

Tesla introduced the feature alongside FSD 14.3.9 on newer AI4/HW4 vehicles. It is designed to allow the system to use steering and other vehicle controls in certain situations where a collision is considered imminent.

Automatic Collision Evasion is not listed as part of the HW3 FSD 14.2 Lite release notes.

So an HW3 owner should not assume that every feature demonstrated on a newer HW4 Tesla running FSD 14.3.9 is also available on their car.
