Great news, Tesla owners! The Tesla Spring Update 2025.14.9 is currently rolling out to a significant portion of the fleet, bringing a host of exciting new features and improvements. While the 2024.14.6 release focused on essential fixes like addressing battery drain issues in Model 3/Y and an FSD (Supervised) v13.2.9 update for AI4/HW4 vehicles, the 2025.14 update delivers some highly anticipated enhancements to elevate your driving experience.

Here's a breakdown of the key features you can expect:

Enhanced Visibility & Safety

  • Adaptive Headlights (US & Canada): Enjoy improved visibility and safety with headlights that adapt to your driving conditions.
  • Blind Spot Camera on Driver Screen (New S/X): Get a clearer view of your blind spots directly on your driver screen, enhancing awareness.
  • Dashcam Update & Side Camera Recording (HW4): Your vehicle's B-Pillar side cameras will now record to both Dashcam and Sentry clips, increasing your camera views from 4 to 6 for comprehensive coverage.
  • New Rear View: Experience a larger field of vision with the updated rear view, improving visibility of rear cross-traffic.
  • Lane Departure Avoidance (CT): Cybertruck owners will benefit from new Lane Departure Avoidance features.
  • Lane Departure Warning in FSD Visualization: For those with FSD, you'll now see Lane Departure Warning directly in the visualization.

Smarter Navigation & Trip Planning

  • Alternative Trip Plans: Now you have more control over your route! Choose from:
    • Fastest: For the quickest route to your destination.
    • Best Amenities: Prioritizes stops near highly-rated restaurants, shops, and restrooms.
    • Fewer Stops: Minimizes charging stops for a smoother journey.
  • Charger Information on Map: In your Navigation settings, you can now choose to show or hide non-Tesla chargers on the map. When viewing a charger location page, nearby restaurants, cafes, and shops within walking distance will be displayed, making your charging stops more convenient.
  • New Trip Summary: A helpful new summary at the top of your navigation displays total trip duration, distance, number of stops, and estimated arrival time.

Convenience & Personalization

  • Dashcam Viewer Update (AMD Ryzen): The Dashcam Viewer app gets a refresh with a new grid view and quick access to the next video, making reviewing recordings much easier.
  • Save Trunk/Frunk Height Based on Location:
    • Trunk (3/Y, New S/X, New 3): Manually adjust your liftgate to your preferred opening height, then press and hold the close button until you hear a chime to save it for that location.
    • Frunk (Cybertruck): Cybertruck owners can now save their preferred frunk height based on location.
  • Keep Accessory Power On: Need to charge devices after exiting your Tesla? You can now keep accessory power on through USB ports, inductive phone chargers, or low voltage outlets (if equipped), as long as your battery is above 20%.
  • Keyboard Languages: Easily switch between different language input methods on your touchscreen.
  • Avoid Highways in Navigation: A new option to avoid highways in your navigation settings.
  • Comfort Drive Mode in Autopilot (CT): Your Cybertruck will now automatically transition to Comfort Drive Mode when Autopilot is engaged.

Media & Connectivity Upgrades

  • Filtered Media Search Results: Media search results are now filtered by sources, providing faster and more streamlined access to content.
  • Apple Music Playlist Shuffle: Shuffle entire Apple Music playlists, even those with over 100 songs!
  • SiriusXM Favorites Scrolling: Easily scroll through your SiriusXM favorites using the steering wheel buttons.
  • Amazon Music Free Account: Sign in with your Amazon Music Free account (requires Premium Connectivity or an active WiFi connection).
  • YouTube Music Up Next: See what song will play next on YouTube Music playlists in the Up Next view.
  • Automatic Hotspot Connection: If your hotspot is enabled, your vehicle will automatically connect once you start driving, eliminating the need to reconnect each time.
  • Contact Display for Calls: Contacts are now displayed for incoming calls and in the vehicle's Phone app.

Minor Tweaks & Undocumented Changes

While not officially listed in the changelog, some users have reported minor improvements, including:

  • Side repeater camera views displayed at the top when reversing or using cameras.
  • An updated Sentry Mode UI.
  • Minor Map UI changes.
  • Service Mode improvements.
  • Reduced UI transparency for Intel Atom vehicles.
  • The "km/h" unit now appearing in lowercase on the speedometer.
