Tesla LED Ambient Light Upgrade Kit for Model 3 & Model Y (2017–2025) – Intelligent Blind Spot Alerts, RGB Interior Lighting & Smart Driving Indicators

The strip itself worked for me, and the installation was fine according to the instructions provided (see YT videos linked in listing). The provided backing tape was not strong enough, so I got some 3M VHB tape, which worked better. The light is a little too bright at night and while you can adjust with the in-sync display settings (on older 3/Y), even at 0% brightness, it is probably too bright.

However, the real issue are with the strip software is the issue. The steering wheel controls worked for me (I have an old style M3), but I had to go back and forth with YESLAK support a number of weeks to a) get the strip length & functions working fully per "hidden" steering wheel commands, b) get a software update file and Chinese instructions/update app to apply an update (Android only), c) still have issues with Autopilot lights & other issues (brightness, etc.) unresolved. They have offered to send me new control box to resolve unclear aspects of remaining issues, which I have not received and I expect will take weeks to come from overseas at best.

Then, when I decided to uninstall the unit and request a refund/return for a defective product within their 30-day return window, I was told that since I had opened the unit, a refund/return could not be approved. How could I know the product was defective without opening it? I also attempted to work with support for multiple weeks, providing valuable customer feedback and videos of the issue on their request, yet when I, as a customer, was ultimately unsatisfied, I was given no real option other than pouring more time into testing with a new control box I will receive (supposedly) in the future.

I suggest you stay away from this product, and perhaps this company's other products, as there are many other options for Tesla accessories. I have ordered another LED strip from a competitor to replace this one and do not intend to order from YESLAK again.

The LED strip is nice and does its job when a car approaches from behind, but sometimes there is something wrong, such as the color not being centered but shifted too far to the right and when the car is stationary the appearance of the red segment that should indicate excess speed and finally the low brightness during the daytime hours.

The adhesive tape does not hold despite cleaning the bonding surface. The brightness cannot be adjusted. The CAN bus connector on older models is not located in the described position but must be removed from the control unit.

For the price, this is a solid upgrade. Adds mood lighting, safety alerts, and it doesn’t scream aftermarket.

Installed it in my 2021 Model Y in about 30 minutes. The welcome effect and airflow light indicators are fun touches.

This ambient light kit totally elevated my night driving. The blind-spot alerts show up nicely and the colors are vibrant.

Die Verbindungsstecker passen nicht zu meinem Fahrzeug. Die Stecker des Adapters gibt es bei mir nicht. Habe euch schon per Mail angeschrieben. Hoffentlich gibt es eine Lösung für mein Problem.
Produkt kann ich bisher nicht weiterempfehlen.
