Why does my Tesla accelerator pedal have no rubber cover?
That’s normal. On many Model 3 and Model Y vehicles, the accelerator pedal does not come with a removable factory rubber cover. The new accelerator pedal cover installs directly over the factory pedal.
Do I need to remove the original pedal covers before installation?
Only the original brake pedal rubber cover needs to be removed. The accelerator pedal cover installs directly over the existing factory accelerator pedal.
Are the pedal covers difficult to install?
Installation is simple and requires no special tools. Because the rubber backing is designed for a snug and secure fit, it may feel tight at first. If needed, gently warm the rubber with a hair dryer to make it more flexible before installation.
Why is the pedal cover so tight during installation?
The snug fit is intentional. It helps the pedal cover stay securely in place during driving. Make sure the rubber edges are fully wrapped around the factory pedal before use.
Can the pedal covers slip or come off while driving?
When installed correctly, the rubber backing grips securely around the factory pedal. After installation, check that all edges are fully seated and confirm that the cover does not move when pulled by hand before driving.
Are the pedal covers slippery when wet?
The pedal surface combines aluminum with raised anti-slip rubber strips to provide extra grip. The rubber inserts help improve traction between your shoes and the pedals in everyday driving conditions.
Are these pedal covers made of real aluminum or plastic?
The visible pedal surface is made with aluminum alloy and anti-slip rubber strips, supported by a durable ABS base. This gives the pedals a more premium look while maintaining strength and grip.
