For many, Tesla's safety score is a gateway to joining the FSD Beta testing program.
However, for those who have purchased Tesla insurance, the safety score has a real economic impact.
The Tesla app provides a score for each drive, based on your driving safety.

In all regions except California, your safety score affects your monthly premium.
While the safety score is designed to assess your driving safety, it can generate false positives, particularly regarding forward collision warnings.

With this app update, Tesla appears to have added a feature allowing users to dispute their vehicle trip scores. New phrases have appeared in the application's source code, including:
safety_score_dispute_history
safety_score_max_disputes_reached
safety_score_reason_for_dispute
tesla-insurance-dispute-history-screen
Tesla also allows you to provide supporting documentation, such as dashcam footage, which now includes Tesla telemetry data.
