Tesla has introduced a new way to share the Full Self-Driving experience: a one-month Full Self-Driving (Supervised) gift card that lets owners gift FSD access to friends and family.
Tesla previously hinted at a gift card program, and this release confirms exactly how it works. The card is a digital gift card that covers one month of FSD service, including tax.
A gift of autonomy
The FSD gift card is priced at $112, and there’s a reason it costs more than the standard $99 monthly subscription.
The price includes the $99 monthly FSD fee plus up to 13% in applicable sales tax. Tesla notes that while $112 will cover most cases, it cannot guarantee it will always cover the full cost if pricing or tax rates change.
Not locked to FSD
Unlike a single-use code, this gift card works just like any other Tesla gift card within the Tesla ecosystem. The recipient simply redeems it into their Tesla Wallet.
From there, they can spend the $112 however they want. The balance is not restricted to FSD. It can be used on anything Tesla accepts gift card payments for—Supercharging, accessories, service, maintenance, and more.
To use it for FSD, the recipient must:
- Own a vehicle equipped with HW3 or HW4
- Have a valid payment method on file
- Not already own FSD outright on the redeemed vehicle
Availability
For now, the card is available only in the United States. Based on Tesla’s typical rollout pattern, it will likely expand to the rest of North America soon, followed by Australia and New Zealand—the only other markets that currently offer FSD subscriptions.
For anyone wanting to let friends or family try FSD without a long-term commitment, this is a simple, low-friction way to share the experience.
