Tesla has launched one of its most attractive leasing incentives yet for the Model Y, giving customers the chance to drive home a new vehicle with zero money down and free premium upgrades. This limited-time offer is designed to make the Model Y even more affordable while boosting Tesla’s competitiveness in the U.S. EV market.
Zero-Down Leasing Makes Model Y More Accessible
According to early reports from X, Tesla’s new Model Y lease promotion keeps monthly payments similar to previous offers but removes the upfront cost entirely. Industry analyst Sawyer Merritt explained that the zero-down lease option could reduce total payments by several thousand dollars.
NEWS: Tesla has just effectively lowered U.S. Model Y lease prices by $3,000 by eliminating the down payment. The starting monthly price stays the same at $479/mo, but now you can get that with $0 down (vs $3k before).-Sawyer Merritt
While lease prices were even more favorable when the $7,500 federal EV tax credit was active, this new zero-down incentive still significantly lowers the barrier to entry for new Tesla customers. For many shoppers, eliminating the initial cash outlay makes the Model Y one of the most accessible electric SUVs in its class.
Free Premium Upgrades Add Extra Value
Beyond zero down, Tesla is including one complimentary premium upgrade with every qualifying Model Y lease. Eligible upgrades include:
- Premium paint colors (Pearl White Multi-Coat, Deep Blue Metallic, Solid Black, Silver, Ultra Red)
- 20" Helix 2.0 wheels
- White interior option
- Factory tow hitch
These upgrades—normally priced hundreds to thousands of dollars—further increase the overall value of the lease offer.
Available on Model Y Premium RWD & AWD
Tesla’s order page confirms that the promotion applies to both the Model Y Premium RWD and Model Y Premium AWD. At this time, the Model Y Standard Range and Model Y Performance trims are not included in the zero-down or complimentary upgrade offer.

Why This Matters
With lower upfront costs, free premium features, and strong monthly pricing, Tesla’s updated Model Y lease program positions the SUV as one of the best-value EV leases currently available in the U.S. market.
